The Firm’s history in Azerbaijan begins from opening of a law firm “Jura Consultants Limited”. The two principals of the Firm, Ismail Askerov and Elchin Mammadov, started the practice in 1995. It was one of the first foreign law firms in Azerbaijan to provide comprehensive legal support for foreign investors. The firm’s team of lawyers has accumulated good practical experience based on an in-depth understanding of the Azerbaijani legal system, local business environment and the expectations of investors.
 
Following the reorganisation of the firm on 1 April 1999 the Firm has continued its work as “Ledingham Chalmers Baku Limited”. During the both periods the Firm has take active part in many international business projects in Azerbaijan and rendered high quality professional services.

Since September 2007 the Firm has been operating under the name of “MGB Law Offices Limited”.
